Global Fertilizer Day: the logistics behind every harvest

Wereld Meststoffendag: de logistiek achter elke oogst
Collage of fertilizer logistics and farming: a crane unloading cargo at the quay, wheat fields, a combine harvester, and hands holding grain.

Behind every harvest is a logistics supply chain that matters.

Yesterday, 13 October, was World Fertilizer Day, a day that reminds us just how important fertilizers are to growing the food we depend on every day.

But before fertilizer reaches a farm, there’s a lot that needs to happen behind the scenes.

It needs to be unloaded, handled with care, stored properly and transported to where it’s needed.

That’s where we come in.

At Veemnatie NV, we work with our customers to keep fertilizer moving through the Port of Antwerp. From vessel discharge and storage to bagging and transshipment, our teams help make sure cargo is handled safely and efficiently.

We’re proud to play our part in a supply chain that reaches far beyond our terminal.

After all, what moves through our port helps grow what feeds the world.

Daar komen wij in beeld.
